It takes a while for my new DVD writer to show the auto run screen. I
replaced it with a working DVD CD/RW combo, same slow. The DVD combo worked
well in its original computer. Not only slow with the new computer, the DVD
combo cannot read a software CD but it could read the same CD before it was
moved to the new computer. It can play and read other CDs. It can play VCD
but not DVD video. Again it could play DVD in another computer. Software is
Nero 6. I have reinstalled the driver, checked the BIOS, cable connection
but nothing works. The problem does not seem to do with the DVD hardware.
Any setting I can check? I use a SATA to boot so the primary master IDE is
connected to the DVD rom.
