HELP!!! Recently I cleaned up my computer with the help of Spyware Nuker XT,
and since then, both of my disc drives (CD & DVD) do not recognize blank,
burnable discs. When I try to open the blank, the window says 0 bytes and
there is no folder or icon of any sort. When I place a DVD disc into the DVD
bay, the icon turns into a "CD" icon, as if it turns itself into a CD bay.
Both will play music, and the DVD movies. I was able to get WMP to burn onto
a blank CD, but that's it. Device manager says everything is fine.

When I try to open up the blank DVD, I get a Windows Explorer error window
"F: is not accessible: Incorrect Function".

Did Spyware Nuker delete something it shouldn't have?

I tried System Restore, but with no luck.

Any ideas that may help, I will be indebted.

(I have an HP 850y)

Thankyou!!!

Tony

Try this, using windows explorer cruise to your cdburner, right click and
select properties, then select cdburner tab and ensure enable cdburning is
checked.
