I have a Dell Dimension 3000 with Windows XP Home and it has a Philips DVD+
-RW DVD drive in it.
I went through my computer uninstalling programs we don't use anymore and
restarted my computer - then I was going to install one game and it installed
and wanted to reboot - when it booted back up my CD drive wouldn't work. I
went to device manager and it had a yellow mark beside it - I highlighted it
and uninstalled the drive - rebooted it and it found new hardware but it
doesn't see it in My Computer. I go into Device Manager again and it is
listed with a yellow mark again - I tried to uninstall it and go and get a
new driver and it does the same thing -
I think it is weird that it opens fine - so the power to it is fine - and it
sees it in Device manager and knows what it is but it doesn't work -
Any suggestions?
