DVD Camcorder installation

I have a Hitachi DVD Camcorder that is about two years old. I cannot install
the software on my PC. When I contacted Hitachi I was told that Microsoft
has not released the required information for them to provide an update.
When I contacted Microsoft, they also do not have an answer. Has anyone else
had this problem, and if so, do you have any idea how to fix it?

Hi,

The Software Development Kit (SDK) for Vista has been out for almost 2
years. I would hazard a guess that Hitachi simply has no plans to develop a
Vista-compatible version of the application.
