Errr.... no.
Although if you are asking Nero to re-encode and it's a difficult movie, it
could take a couple of hours.
It's not a question I can answer without knowing the full specs of your PC
however..... digital editing takes a LOT of processing power.... and needs
almost exclusive use of the PC even with a fast CPU.
I have 1gb of RAM and a P4 2.66Ghz... and LOTS of hard drive space. If
you're a low spec PC (say 450mhz and 128mb RAM), yes it's going to take a
long time. If you're running antivirus software and other applications at
the same time (eg Seti at Home, Outlook Express) etc it's going to take
FOREVER to re-encode your movie. Disable your antivirus software
TEMPORARILY.... NEVER forget to re-enable it(!)... exit from Seti at Home,
close down Outlook etc etc... go away from the PC and don't use it.
I guess the ideal specs for a PC that's going to do a LOT of editing would
be something like a dual CPU P4 3Ghz with hyperthreading, 4ghz RAM etc
etc.... but we can't all afford those! So be nice to your PC and let it do
its work without you getting in its way!
