DVD burning problems

When I try to burn to my DVD burner using Nero I get a popup telling me that
my drive is in use by another application. I have closed all apps, and even
rebooted with the same result. I do not know what can be locking out the
drive. I have also had this happen on another system I have with the CD
burner. The way aroung this system was to use an external CD burner. I have
changed the drive letter without help, I still get the message and have to
quit Nero.

Do you have the latest update for Nero? I seem to recall that some buggy
version of Nero 6 had this issue.
 
It doesn't matter what burning software I use. I have tried others with the
same result.
