I Have A Computer That I Inherited And I Am Having To Do A Clean Instal
On The Computer Because Nobody Knows What Her Password Was If I Instal
A New Windows Xp Will Her Dvd Burner And Other Programs Still Work O
Will I Have To Start Over Fresh With Everything Thank Yo
 
If you do a clean install their will be nothing on the hard drive sept XP.
Your hardware should still work, but you will have to reinstall all
software.

Let me get this straight.

You state you are having to do a CLEAN INSTALL on her machine and you want
to know if her other programs will still work?

Yeah - once you reinstall them too. CLEAN INSTALL is erasing everything on
the computer - all her files, all the installed applications everything that
ever was and starting like the computer just rolled out of the manufacturer
doors and they installed the OS for the first time.

Why not just hack her password? Log in with the administrator and change
it? Something? ANYTHING!


First off, boot in safe mode and the username you want to try is
"administrator", not
yours, not hers - administrator.

Secondly, cannot get in that way?
