DVD Burner will read only, will not write

can someone help me please, i am having some problems with my burner, it will
only read, i get a message when i go to delete something off a dvd-rw disk i
get a message {drive read only) even incd(NERO) will not recognise the drive

You might try copying the data from the DVD-RW disk to a folder on the HD..
Then, use the Incd app to erase the disk, now format the disk using Incd and
copy the data back to the disk.. Incd does not work well with other packet
writing apps installed.. If you updated WMP recently, you might try
uninstalling Incd, then reinstall the Incd app.. Also, look in the Ahead Nero
folder, in the Incd folder, see and review the (your version#?) Incd FAQ
