I have tried several DVD's and they stop near the end of the file I am trying
to copy. There is plenty of room as it is over 4 GB and the file is a little
less than 2. I was able to get the file on one DVD but am unable to get the
others to work. Same kind of DVD's(Memorex 4x 4.7GB 120 min). I get an
error message 0x800 70571 near the end of the file and it tells me my disk is
a read only but it is an RW. It does not show any of the files and I am
unable to reuse the disk. I shut down McCafee while I did it this last time
but it still won't complete the copy. Is my DVD burner in trouble? Thanks,
Huey

It might be.

In the software you are using to burn, are you able to select a slower
burn speed? If so, try about half what the burner is capable of.

Thanks,
If you are using CDRW discs, you can Erase them, and use them again.

What program are you using to burn the discs ?.
That could be the problem.

Hi, I am using Vista. I was able to do a couple of DVDs by shutting down
my McAfee and splitting the folder into two folders. However, I just tried
one of the other DVD's that I made yesterday and it wiped everything off from
it and then it would not format again so I had to toss that one as well.
Very frustrating. Thanks. Huey
