G Guest Feb 25, 2006 #6 The DVD burner shows no DVD content, with CD no problem. The DVD reader shows all and is still working. The problem appeared when Sonic Recordnow was burning a DVD; the program failed! My system : XP Home SP2 with Windows Defender installed

P Peter Feb 25, 2006 #7 Have you tried uninstalling the drive then reinstalling? Maybe there is something in the cache that's blocking any further functionality. That's strange, never heard of that one.
