dvd burner doesn't recognize drive

I have a Pioneer DVD-RW DVR drive, but when I open a burning program like
Nero, it only has Image Recorder as a drive I can record to; and it won't let
me select any DVD-burning options. Is it supposed to do this, or is there
something I have to do to get the program to recognize the drive and allow
DVD burning?
 
update the programs on the nero sight . startsmart thers an icon on the
right click and then update
