I created a DVD-R with the ISO image... I can boot on my other 2
computers, but my Dell D610 will not boot from the DVD... I can even
install Vista from within Windows on the same computer, but not boot....
anyone got any ideas??

Thanks,
Josh

Does your dvd drive have a higher boot priority than the hard drive in the
BIOS? Since you installed from Windows I would think so, but strange stuff
is happening with Vista.

Actually... .I got it to work last night... I installed Acronis OS selector
and used it to boot from the DVD... at first it didn't recognize the DVD,
but after about a minute and a half, it appeared in the launch menu....
Vista installed without a hitch.... I was having problems with the version I
installed from within windows... .so I wanted to try a clean installation...
nothing on this hard drive and computer that I really needed anyway :-)....
thanks for the suggestions, and actually I had tried most of them already!
Thanks anyway though....

Josh
