I can't figure out the whole codec thing with Windows Media Player so is
there another program I can use to burn the DVD after i've made the movie in
Movie Maker Program??? I need something fairly easy to learn and quick...the
movie is saved as an .avi file and when I try to burn it with WMP 10 it
doesn't have some codec it needs. What do I do??? Please Help Anyone!

I am a bit confused.
WMP 10 (Windows Media Player 10) does not burn DVD's.
You need a DVD Authoring program to do this. There are simple ones to use,
such as Ulead Movie Factory, and there are more difficult ones, such as Nero
Vision Express, your choice.
I have a list of the more popular DVD Authoring programs on my website in
the "DVD Programs" section along with links to purchase and/or download the
free trial versions where available.

Well that makes sense then. Why is there a burn button in WMP then? What is
that used to burn? Is that why I get the codec error message too? How about
using Media Center to burn them - is the quality there as good as Ulead Movie
Factory or the others? It takes a really long time to burn them - is that
normal? THanks for all the help!

The button on WMP is for 'burning' audio. WMP does a good job of both
ripping and burning music. But it won't do video....not yet anyway! Movie
Factory for 50 bucks is pretty easy to use and does a good job. Good luck.

Exactly. The burn button is for creating audio CD's
And ditto on the Movie Factory 3 recommendation.
