DV-AVI settings problem...help!

I am a novice in DV editting, so please help me out....I am trying to capture
video from my Sony HC90 Mini CV Cam into Movie Maker and I do not have the
option of selecting "DV-AVI" format in the video setting window. I believe
it is supposed to be a viable settings option in you are capturing from a DV
device, which i am. Can anyone tell me what I might be doing wrong?

Help.....if I capture in any other setting the compression is totally awful!

You should get you firewire connection setup... digital camcorders don't
come with the cable and firewire (iLink in your manual) is the connection
needed to work with Movie Maker if you want full digital video.
