DV/AVI capture problem

When I capture a clip from my Sony DV and stop capture then click finish I
get a error message ( can not import AVI file is coroupt or not availble.

Download and execute the following batch file:
http://www.rehanfx.org/utils/reregdlls.bat

It re-registers the system DLLs back .These can go astray due to
installation and uninstallation of some applications causing similar
problems.

Please update if or not it helps in your case.
