am using windows movie maker 2 and am having trouble changing the duration that a clip will show

i go in to tools, then options & picture duration, but when i change the time it has no effect on the movie
and when i down load the movie on to disc it plays so fast you dont have time to see it

am i doing something wrong
can you help me?

Hi there,

There is usefull information in the Help File for Movie Maker. In the
meantime, position your mouse over the right edge of one of your still
images and then click and drag it to the right therby making the clip
duration longer.

You can also set the default duration of both clip and transition from the
menu system...changes there are reflected in any new still image that you
apply to the time line.

thank you for your help john kelly, i have now sorted the clip time out , but i still have a problem with the download part
i seem to have to go via (nero express) to put it on to disc becouse the option to burn from movie maker does not seem work, i am not sure if this is the way i should be doing it as when the disc is done it runs faster than it should when played on another player.i can not seem to find any info on the help menu about this

if you or anyone else can help once again i would be very happy
thanks very much for your time,

Hi There,

Movie Maker will only burn and create a CD using the High Mat menu
system. If you try to burn to a CD that is in a DVD drive Movie Maker
becomes a little "flaky". I have seen quite a few with that problem of late.
The High-Mat format (Video) is supposed to be available now on new home DVD
players marketed by a company called KISS....It seems to me that now would
not be a good time to buy for a variety of reasons. I am fortunate in that I
have DVD Writers as well as CD Writers, BUT, if I had just CD Writers I
think I would probably go the Nero route myself or perhaps the DivX route
(See links on my website for more info)
