Hi all
I have many duplicate photos which I do not need in my computer in different
areas. Is there an easy way to delete the duplicates without searching all
over. Thanks in advance for any help.

How about Start>Search>Files and Folders.

Search on *.jpg and make sure the results are sorted then select the duplicates
and delete them.

Almost forgot:
Which ever tool you should pick, make certain that is has the ability to
perform either a 'Binary' or 'CRC' file comparison. This will prevent you
from deleting files that have the same name but are not duplicates of the
same photo.

I didn't start the thread, but this thought occurs

Would a CRC comparison allow one to delete files that do not have the same
name but are duplicates of the same photo?

If so, I must find such software, as my wife duplicates photos quite often
and then forgets about it.

If the photo was not in any way changed/edited and the file name was the
same but located in a different directory then a CRC check would show the
two files match an one of the two can be deleted. If however the file names
do not match then I think (not had this problem) it would be up to the
software's comparison abilities to indicate they are identical, as an
example a utility named 'Folder Match'
claims "Find and remove all duplicate files on your machine. Even if their
names are different! ".
