Duplicate sets of document files

While trying to rearrange my document files (eliminating
the "My Documents, etc.) I somehow ended up with two sets
of "My Documents" complete with sub-folders, etc. One
set is "My Documents" and the second set's main Folder
is "Robert La Mar's Documents". These two sets seem to
be linked, i.e. if I modify a file in one set its
corresponding file in the other set is also modified.
How can I "unlink" these sets of files? Can I somehow
arrage my files without using "My Documents"?

Thanks.

There is only one My Documents folder and one set of files in this folder.
The actual folder is located in your user profile folder under Documents and
Settings. The other folder you see at the top of the folder tree is there to
simply give you faster access to this folder.

My Documents is the default folder for saving files that you create or save.
You can specify any folder you wish when you save a file and many programs
like Office applications let you specify a default save folder.
