You can use Clone Remover for it. This is program for finding duplicate files, such as photo files, music files, image files.

I have many duplicate pictures taking up space on my computer. With over
4000, is there a way I can consolodate without going through them one by one?

The Digital Image Library included with
MS Digital Image Suite will search your
system for image files and import them.
Then you can use the "Find Similar Pictures
and Videos" option to identify duplicates.
(just go to...Tasks / Find Similar...)
There's a 60 day trial version available for
download if you would like to give it a try:
Microsoft Digital Image
Starter Edition 2006
http://tinyurl.com/28loxr
(this product line has been
discontinued but you can still
down-load the Starter Version
and run it for 60 days)
Unlike the retail version...the trial does not
have the ability to create VCDs and it does
not include the clipart and pre-formatted
projects.

Thanks, John.
Thanks, John. It appears I am not the only person who has more duplicates
than K-Mart offers in their blue light special. I will attempt your solution
and hope I don't end up with even more. I do have back-up cd's for most of my
pictures. Whew!
Again, thanks

The Library does not create more images...
it simply creates thumbs for viewing in the
Library and records the current location
of the images in it's own database.
The initial scan may take a while but once
the database is populated with the info
the Library should open quickly.
