Hi,

I seem to have a problem with my Outlook contacts - recently got a new PC
and transferred my pst to the new PC. Contacts are there OK, but when I send
a new email, Outllok displays the following error mewssage:

"The address list could not be displayed. The Contacts folder associated
with this address list could not be opened......"

Outlook then displays the Select Names dialog box - there are 2 entries for
contacts - the 1st is blank, the second contains my contacts. I suspect a
corrupt file or something but don't know how to fix it.

Worried now about running ActiveSync between PC and mobile phone in case
things go pear shaped.

Any ideas what to do next??

That always happens if you do not migrate your data correctly.
You failed to post your Outlook version. If it is the current version just
remove the invalid reference to a Contacts Folder here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change.

Thanks for that - worked a treat.

Can you recommend any learning materials for this sort of thing in Outlook -
never has been my strongest point.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance

Not really. How to migrate PST files correctly is impossible to figure out
and is one of Outlook's weakest links. I've seen no indication that any of
these problems will be addressed in upcoming versions. Even Outlook's help
files are incorrect in this regard. The best advice I can give is to post to
these groups for the latest information.
