In Outlook 2002, if I create a contact with two e-mail addresses and one fax
number then open my Address Book, I see the name listed three times. When I
compose new e-mail messages, I don't want to scroll over to see the Display
Name or E-mail Type fields just to figure out which address is which. How
do I fix this?

Thanks!

Robert

You can't.
The standard behavior for the Outlook Address book is to display all
electronic addresses (both fax and e-mail). That behavior cannot be changed.
The only way to prevent the display of fax numbers is to store them in a
different field or to disguise them (e.g., precede them with an alpha
character) so that Outlook won't recognize them as phone numbers.
There are also a number of utilities available that can do this for you
automatically. Some are listed here:

Thanks Russ.
I had an inclination but thought I'd ask.

Outlook 2003 has one small improvement. You can permanently resize the
Address Book so you don't have to scroll over to see which address is which.
