One of our users has created a number of rules in Outlook 2000 /
Exchange 5.5. The rule is set to check email when it arrives, look for
a specific user in the ‘from' field, then move the message to a public
folder.
For some unknown reason the message is being duplicated when it is
moved into the public folder. It only affects rules which move
messages to public folders, if I set the rule to move the message to a
folder within the mailbox, no duplicates occur.
This problem only appears to affect one user as I cannot recreate it
using other logins. I have also attempted to remove all of the rules
in his ‘Rules wizard' and recreate them. I have logged onto another
workstation as this user and recreated a similar rule and the problem
still exists, eliminating a problem with his actual Outlook 2000
installation.
Any suggestions?
