Duplicate meeting requests in outlook calendar

I am getting duplicate meeting requests in my outlook 2003 calendar. they
are not being sent twice, accepted twice, etc., They are appearing twice the
moment a meeting request is sent. It is even showing as conflicting with
itself because of it. Anyone know anything to help?

Are there any differences in the items if you open them, such as the
invitee's name?
