I recently changed my file format from (97-2002) to the new file format and
now I have two Calendars listed. One is the new one, with none of my info in
it. The other is the old one with all my appointments and dates in it. I
wish to either convert the old one to the new one or delete the new one but
neither seems to be an option.

Please, can someone help me with this? Thanks in advance.

They're both options. First, make your new folders your delivery location
at the bottom of Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next. Stop and restart Outlook.
Then open each of your old folders, select all of the data, and copy it to
your new folders. When you've copied everything, right-click the root of
your old folders and choose Close.

I'm sorry, but I need much more detailed instructions on how to move all my
appointments from my old calendar to the new one that was created when I
changed file formats. I have moved all my emails with no problem but I just
can't figure out how to move my calendar info. PLEASE HELP.

Just use a list view of your Calendar so you can select all the items and
copy them to the other Calendar Folder.
"By Category" seems to work best for most of us.
