duplicate files

when i use 'open web' to connect to the server, and view
my files and folders, everything appears fine. but when my
friend (who is designing the site) connects the same way,
he sees doubles and triples of most files... my hosting
company is unfamiliar with the problem, they recommended
wiping the content, then re-installing and re-publishing.
however, i don't have a local copy of the site. we work on
it live.

any ideas what may be causing the duplicates??

Have your friend, search and delete all hidden *.web with FP close.
