Duplicate file problems

one of our users, when saves to his netwrok drive, finds a
duplicate copy created on his local drive. he then deletes
the copy on his local machine, which in turn deletes the
network drive copy?
does anyone know of a remedy for this situation?

Sounds like a "mirroring" situation. If a drive is "mirrored", when you
delete a file one place, it goes away in both because it's a mirrored drive.
