I have two "contacts" folders listed in the "Show names from the:" window
when I auther new emails. One is the one I created and the other is empty.

How can I get rid of the empty one?

Disregard folks. Thanks anyway but I fixed it.

I went through the following and "removed" the folder:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change > Remove Address Book.

I was still showing so I then used "Detect and Repair" under the Help Menu
and that did the trick.

Actually, all you needed to do was remove the invalid reference to a
Contacts Folder here:
Tools > E-mail accounts > View or change existing directories or address
books > Outlook Address Book > Change… >
You do not need to remove the entire address book or repair Outlook.

Hey Russ...

Maybe you could elaborate and tell us what the next step is after
"Change..." The only options I saw were "Remove Address Book" and "Close".
As I said, that alone didn't work because it was still showing. It stayed
there until I did the "Detect and Repair". Selecting "Remove Address Book"
didn't affect any of my other contacts. That's what worked and that's all
that matters.

Thanks for your input.

"Remove Address Book" provides a list of Folders you can remove. All you
need to do is remove the invalid folder. You do not need to remove the
entire Outlook Address Book. Any change to the Outlook Address Book
configuration requires a restart to appear, but not a Detect and Repair.
