I rebooted my server and when I went into Windows Explorer I noticed that
there was a C drive and now there is a F drive also with the same exact
contents of the C drive. I did boot into Safe Mode the day before I noticed
this, if that is relevant or not. The server has no errros in the eventlogs.
The server is windows 2000 srv pack 4.

It does if he has dynamic disks. From what I've read, dynamic disks fir the
boot drive ain't a good thing.....

Sounds like you installed the rollup V1 Seems duplicate mounting of the
%systemdrive% can be a side effect. Issue 3

Rollup 1 for Microsoft Windows 2000 Service Pack 4
