Duplicate active programs lists on taskbar

Greetings,

Came into work on Monday morning to find the work computer
has two lists of active programs on the task bar. Ahenever
a window is activated the respective tile in both lists
appears depressed suggesting the list is duplicated.

Have looked through knowledge base but cant find anything
to help.

Can anyone help me to remove the duplication.
