Hi there

My printer is HP 710C.
In the past OS's (95, 98) I could ask for duplex printing.
in XP I saw before my eyes the feature settings, but
couldn't change it.

I tried find the keys duplex/double-side in the Registry,
but no'p

Thanks a lot, even for the effort

Mike, the ability to duplex print lies in the printer driver itself. In XP,
there is probably a built-in mini-driver for your printer, and these
mini-drivers do not have the duplexing ability. The mini-drivers come with
the operating system and are supplied by HP to Microsoft. I just checked
HP's website for your printer, and HP has not written a full driver for your
printer for Windows XP. You're out of luck, unless you either get a new
printer, or use a 3rd party print driver such as you can find at
www.fineprint.com. With the cost and quality of the new HP printers, I'd
tend to be thinking about a new printer, as fineprint is not free.

This would have to do with your driver. I don't think this printer has duplex
capabilities, so what you are wanting is the odd-even dialogue. This article shows
you how to set it up on your printer, you might want to save the information for
future reference.
