it doesnt work on XP. anyone know why?

On older games, you may need to use Compatibility Mode (information is in
Help and Support) to let the program think it is still on Windows 95. If
you can install it, then right-click the link you use to launch the game,
select Properties, then the Compatibility tab and you'll see the entries you
can choose.

If you cannot install from the beginning, you can go to Start/Run/Browse,
locate the install.exe or setup.exe file on the root of the CD and do the
same thing. It will believe it is installing on Windows 95.

Just tried it myself Chris (brought back some memories)

It 'should' run without compatibility .... just say no to the DirectX 3
check ...

That being said .... your advice, as always, is quite solid.

May I make a suggestion: For older games (pre XP and DirectX 8/9), suggest
to make sure not to install the included DirectX version. And, also to
skip/ignore DirectX checking, if possible. Some game installers require a
certain version of DirectX to be installed. These check to see if a certain
DirectX file exists in the DirectX folder. This file may no longer exist
with DirectX 8 (or DirectX 9) and thus kicks out of the installation process
with and error.
