Hi,

Is there any freeware available that will let me backup my dun
connectoids complete with username and passwords?

Thanks
Gerald

Place a clean floppy disk in your A: drive

Open tyor Dial-Up Networking folder on your
Desktop and drag your ISP icon to say
A: drive to save the settings on the floppy.
The saved file should be with .DUN or may be
..INS extention.
When ever you wish to reinstall it drag it back from the A: drive to Dial-Up
Neworking folder.
Easier is if you Double-click the in A: drive
it should overwrite the settings.
----------------------------------------------
There are quite a few freeware utilities you
have to search for it or wait for someone will
post with site address.

That page says :

This DUN Backup Tool download is licensed as Shareware.

Yes it sure does, escaped me. What I did was, I downloaded the ZIP and
had a look inside the File_id.diz before I posted - and copied the
info above from there. Freeware it says. Also says so here:
<http://channels.lockergnome.com/windows/backissues/20010625.phtml>
(but d/l links there are broken).

Anyway, and alternative could be DunDup as someone else suggested:
<http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_description/0,fid,23015,00.asp>
<http://ftp.pcworld.com/pub/new/utilities/backup/DUNDUP1_10setup.exe>
(also at Nonags)

All the best,
Bjorn Simonsen
