Sup everyone.

Well, my problem is this:
I boot up my comp, fine there, no probs.
But at random times (sometimes directly after boot up, sometimes after hours!)
i get bluescreened and the message that its dumping the physical memory.
First time it happend i formatted the HDD, but the problem's still there.
Now im out of ideas, so im asking you guys...

BruceM,

New memory sticks (sic) is a pretty bold diagnosis based on little
information. Kim should write down the error message and post it's contents
so the forum can help them resolve this error.

Hi Kim.

We need to know the information from the blue screen. Assuming that
it is a STOP error message we need the STOP code, all 4 parameters,
and any file or module names mentioned.

With that additional information it should be possible to give you
some specific advice about your error. Otherwise the best we can
tell you is that "something did a booboo."

Good luck

Got it right here :)
The message (or whatever you call it) is:
*** STOP: 0x0000008E (0x0000005, 0xF474D801, 0xEF983B4C, 0x00000000).
That's totally not making any sence for me... Im impressed if you guys can
get something out of it ;)

Thanks in advance!

I gave you a hint to try swapping mem modules!

0x0000008E .................
CAUSE
This behavior may occur if one of the following conditions is true: . One or
more of the random access memory (RAM) modules that are installed on your
computer are faulty.
. The RAM configuration is incompatible with Windows XP.

Try it & then report back?

The swapping came up empty, still the same.
Got tired, left it at a computer company that'll fix it.
Bought a new comp instead, it was about time anyway ;)

Okay. I think you made a transcription error in the first parameter.
I suspect that it should read 0xC000005 and not 0x0000005.

The name of the error is KERNEL_MODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

The error originated with whatever application program, Windows
component, or device driver is using memory address 0xF474D801.

There is a way of tracing this, particularly if it is a device driver
(the prime suspect). Post a reply back here if you want further
assistance.

Good luck
