One of my users had a similar problem on his home PC. I
found a utility thats creates a Linux boot disk to
manipulate the SAM file which holds the encrypted password.
In ym experience using this tool, to make this tool work
you can not be part of a domain, and you must set your
password to nothing (not the word nothing but literally
nothing, you can change it once you get back into windows)
