You can actually remove the items from the Start menu by
clicking Start, then right click on the item to remove
and selecting Delete. Or you can right click on the task
bar, select Properties, Start menu tab, Customize, then
find Start menu in the listing. From there, you can
delete items that you do not wish to see. However, since
you are also seeing the items in control panel, there are
registry entries that were added when the software was
installed. These can be removed manually from the
registry, but if you haven't done this before, you may
wish to call support for assistance. The other
alternative as you mentioned is reinstalling the software
and using the uninstall choices.

Hi John

Cleaned the start menu w/o problem and did a regedit on
Nero and that worked and the program no longer shows in
add/remove.

DriveImage which was part of the Nero package though is
still there.

BUT when I click on remove I get it is not installed on
your system.

Did a find in regedit for DriveImage and the only thing
that comes up is in Services/ Event Log/ntbackup. Do
find next and it doesn't come up with another entry.

Since it says NT I am hesitant to delete it.
