Dumb Question?

I've been wondering about altering the My Documents folder currently located
in Documents & Settings by placing it on the same folder level as Program
Files.

I have an MCE 2005 with only a C: drive and the folder that contains My
Documents --> My Music, My Video, etc. is a pain to get to...even with
shortcuts for each folder on my Desktop.

I guess what I'm asking is would it affect the efficiency if I moved My
Documents a bit closer to the surface?

No, it shouldn't affect the "efficiency" of your system. Just right click on
the My Documents folder and select Properties. The dialog will give you the
option to change the location and will offer to move the files for you.

My question to you is why do you need to navigate to the C:\documents
and Setting\... folder? Why don't you just go directly to My
Documents at the top of the folder list in the Explorer version of
Windows Explorer?

That is what I do, actually. But I just don't like it buried several layers
deep. Just personal preference.

I would just like to remind you that moving the folder will make your
documents accessable to all users of your computer.
