dumb question...

ok, I'm new to this Microsoft AntiSpyware program...and granted, it's a beta
version, but here's my dumb question...why, when I run this program, it
searches my drive and finds nothing, and then I run Pest Patrol, and it
instantly finds 6 or more?...Should I still assume that I need to run more
than just a single anti-spyware program?...

Running more than one isn't a bad idea.

Microsoft Antispyware doesn't do anything selective with cookies. What's
the nature of the 6 items Pest Patrol finds?

I think that Bill has offered some excellent advice. At this point there
are soo many anti spyware programs around and no two are identical in what
they find and also to my knowledge MSAS is the only one that doesn't look
for cookies. I hesitate to recommend any to use but I so recommend some
because I was a member of the closed beta testing several and naturally I
think they are great. Remember use what satisfies your needs and forget the
rest.
