Somehow I managed to delete the shortcuts on my task bar
and desktop to Internet Explorer. Now, I can't find where
the program actually is so I can get the shortcut back.

It's kind of silly, I know but any assist would be
appreciated.

Carl,

Try Start>programs>internet explorer on the menu. R-Click>create shortcut.
Drag and drop to the desired location.

Did you try looking at Start/Programs/Internet Explorer? Just make a
shortcut for there, if it is listed.

The shortcut in Start/Programs is also gone. RIght now,
the only way I can start up IE is to enter "iexplore" in
the Start/Run dialoge.

Carl

Internet Explorer is not on my Start/Programs. I've
searched for "Internet Explorer" and can't even find the
program yet, if I type "iexplore" in the Start/Run dialoge
my browser launches. (can't find "iexplore.exe" in a
search either.

How about in C>program files>Iexplore.exe>R-Click create shortcut>drag and
drop to location.

Or find>files and folders>internet explorer>R-Click and so forth.

Or Open explorer>R-Click on it and create a shortcut.

If you can type it and it runs, it means it is still somewhere on board.
Customary location is "C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE".

If all else fails, once the browser window is opened -however you manage to
do that- right click on the open page and "create shortcut". OR once browser
window is opened, then on the toolbar, click File>send>shortcut to desktop.

Thanks - that did the trick.
