Hello all,

I can't tell if this is for ordinary (and ignorant) users
or just developers. Either way, here comes the problem....

I'm pretty much a newbie in Access. I have managed to
create a report I like but I can't get it to suppress and
close up blank fields. I downloaded a routine which looks
plausible. The problem is I don't have the slightest idea
how, or where, to insert it in the design view.

Can anyone help me?

If you are talking about not displaying blank records or
records containing specific blank fields, you can setup a
filter on the report so the records don't display.

This forum is for expert and novice developers, users, and
everywhere in between.

It sounds like you might be looking to suppress extra
white space in your report when the data is not as large
as the space you've allocated for it. If so, set the
Detail Section Can Shrink Format property to Yes.

If not, provide further detail on the structure of your
tables, report, and the behavior you'd like to have.
