Hi All,

Did something pretty dumb (as you probably picked up on by now!). Installed
a new DVD/RW drive to replace my CD/RW. Only one problem. Forgot to take the
CD disk out of the player before removing it. Dumb.

Can anyone tell me if there's a "trick" to getting the darn disk out without
reinstalling just for that purpose?

Most CD drives have a small hole near the tray. Poke that with a paper clip,
and it will open

Hi Rick -

There's a small hole on the front of the drive.

Insert a straightened paperclip into this hole to release the drive latch.
The drawer should slide right out.

Open the case, connect ONLY POWER, push the eject button, get CD, close
drive, remove power, close case.
