I often create documents that are 60 to 70 pages in length. Is there a way
that I can create a contents page that I can click on and it will instantly
hop to that spot in the document. I guess it has to be Hypertext, huh?

Thanks anyone!

You can create a TOC to do that for you? You will have to
setup the doc to include the "anchors" that you will jump
to but that will work. Depending on your version of Word
it will be located, most likely, in the Insert ->
Reference menu. Hope this helps a bit.

Hi Billybob

When you use the Insert > Index and Tables dialog (in Word 2002/2003,
Insert > Reference > Index and Tables) to insert a table of contents,
the page numbers are automatically hyperlinked to the headings in the
document. If the TOC field has the proper switch (\h) then the words
of the entries are also hyperlinked.

See http://www.word.mvps.org/faqs/formatting/TOCSwitches.htm for other
things you can do with a TOC.

Thanks, Chris and Jay! You always seem to come to my aid and I really
appreciate it.

Very best regards,
Bill
