Have just tried to install the above in my AGP X4 mobo, to replace ABIT
Siluro Nvidia card. (I want the DVI on the 9200 for my new monitor.)

When I switch on I get one long and two short beeps and a blank screen.
Nothing. Have uninstalled the Nvidia drivers, checked the BIOS settings and
I still get nothing. Tried the DVI cable as well and still no good.

Is the card dead or am I missing something. Read somewhere about clash with
VIA drivers but surely something should hit the screen when I first turn on?

Any advice gratefully received.

That beep means "No video"... The BIOS doesn't see your video card, or there
is no monitor plugged in.

Make sure you have the card fully into the slot (it might be binding on one
of your RAM slots, or the key lock may be holding it out. Don't screw the
card in and press it flat into the slot and try it... some cards don't fit
well and the screw in the bracket will pull the far end of the slot up.

Thank you, Noozer, but I have tried repeated movement of card with and
without screw in place. Monitor cable has always been attached. Like you I
assumed the BIOS was not seeing the new card as if it were I would get
someting on the screen.

My mobo is AGP 4x max and the card is AGP 8x, but I understood that AGP 8x
was backward compatible with AGP 4x. Correct?

Any more ideas?? Many thanks.

Card is probably poop then... Would be good if you could try it in another
PC.
