I am running vista 64 bit and want to dual boot with windows 2000. How do I
go about this?

Hi Willie,

I had XP installed on C; and then installed Vista on a new drive and my
system was automatically a dual boot system.

Do you currently have 200 installed?

I have Vista RC1 5600 installed and want to install 2000 as dual boot. Can
this be done??

Of course you can, but you have to install the older OS (2000) first,
then VISTA. Also, you must either partition your Hard drive into
two sections, or use 2 Hard Drives.

Since you already have Vista, you will have to load 2000 on another
hard drive while Vista's HD is disconnected. Then get some third party
boot loader, or use your BIOS to select the boot media. Last choice is
to axe Vista and start from scratch, installing 2000 first, then
Vista.

Uh, uh. There is a very nice additional choice. Just run Windows 2000 in a
virtual machine using Virtual PC 2007 beta, which just came out on Microsoft
Connect two days ago. It supports Vista as a host just fine. I am running
W2k that way on my Vista x64 box now.
