dual video, xp, and software

Ok, anyone have any experience with dual video and windows xp....

I have a customer that wants to set up a 2nd monitor that will have a link
with a customer overseas...No problem on that. But the hardware issue is the
issue, I have never personally done a dual video, although I have done a
little research....

She has an emachine ( I told her it was crap!!), with onboard video...My
plan is to add a pci video card......Will this work with windows xp? I heard
that onboard video, and a pci video, I will have some troubles....

Secondly, I need some type of software that will kinda act as a photo album
where it switches pictures, kinda like a screensaver, but not a
screensaver....She wants to be able to use her computer on one monitor, and
have the 2nd monitor stream pictures....So I figure find some software that
will run the photos, and just drag it over to the 2nd monitor.....



Any experience or suggestions will be of great value!!! Thanks

You will probably have problems. It is likely that inserting the PCI
video card will disable the onboard video. You should check this out
for the specific model she has. If Emachine can't tell you, look at
the chipset they use. If it has no AGP slot, it is likely that any
added video card disables onboard video. Also, it can't be just any
PCI video card. There are compatibility issues especially with older
PCI video cards.

Next, it is a little unclear what will be on the second screen. If it
is just photos in a directory, WindowsXP can display them as a slide
show with no additional software.
