I am about to specify a top end PC for heavy number crunching. I am looking
at AMD FX60 processor, 2Gbyte RAM and Windows. Will Windows XP 64-bit
support the dual processor? I have one application (designed for Windows XP
32-bit on a single core) that I would like to give as much processor as
possible. Can I give it one core to itself and run all the rest of windows
on the other core? The application will take hours (days/weeks) to run. Is
this the right newsgroup for this question? If it isn't then please tell me
where to post this question.
