I have spent many hours trying to import DV video into my
laptop via a dual port firewire PCMCIA adaptor... I'm am
trying to capture the DV video to a external firewire
wire hard drive, using the 2nd port on the adaptor. Today
I stumbled upon an article that stated that a DV camera
connected to a firewire port will prevent other firewire
devices(hard drives)working correctly due to the fact
that the camera needs to both send and recieve
information ie high bandwith. Is there any workaround for
this issue? ie can the bandwith of the cardbus be
adjusted, increased?
