Dual Monitors with ppt. and normal computing simultaneously

I am wanting to run a powerpoint show on a second monitor while using my
primary monitor to complete normal pc activities. I have the monitors set up
and working, but when i try to minimize the powerpoint window on my primary
monitor and continue on with other things the show is interupted on the
second monitor. How can I get it to continue on with the show in the
background with no interuptions by actions i take on the primary monitor?
