I'm wondering if the final version of Vista will allow for seperate desktop
backgrounds in a dual-monitor setting. If not, what 3rd party options are
out there?

How does it work with skinned applications? Do the caption bar buttons mess
up?

Easy. You have always been able to do this. You need two different
wallpapers, preferrably of the correct size for your default resolution on
each screen. Open both of them in Photoshop or whatever paint program you
like and then join them together. Ie, if you want the right monitor to
have wallpaper 2 then join the two bitmaps so wallpaper 2 is on the right
side of wallpaper 1.

Save your newly joined wallpaper, then set it as the wallpaper for the
desktop, but make sure Poairion ia not set to stretch.

That part of UltraMon isn't working properly in Vista. You have to wait for
the long-awaited v3 for that. I'm not bothered about that, as I always
disabled those buttons anyway.
