I thought that I could reinstall XP to just overwrite the original but now I
have 2 Operaton Systems options to boot from. I now have XP install on both
my C and D drive. How do I remove the D drive version of XP.

You could format your D: drive, otherwise just delete everything

Thanks for the suggestions.

I think I got it working but now it takes longer for Windows to load. Any
ideas?

Thanks,

Yes the computer is on a home network. However, prior to my incident of
reinstalling windows it took only 32 seconds from the time I pressed the
power button to when I saw my desktop. Now it takes over a minute.

It hangs on the blue Welcome screen for about 20 seconds and then finally my
desktop loads. I am the only user and I dont' have to Log in to my desktop.

I have disabled the NAV windows plugin also.

Ok now the slow response time is really getting to me. When I right click it
is slower than before my accidental install. (see previous post).

Now, when I select a file and press delete, it takes forever for the confirm
delete popup to appear.

Suggestions?
