Dual DVI vs. analog VGA

Having two outputs on a card is not a problem. You can use the primary
output with one monitor, and the other output does not have to be
activated. Video cards have jack sensing - a VGA monitor presents a
75 ohm load, and the video card knows when a monitor is connected.

You'll notice in the Newegg images, that there are two DVI-I to VGA
adapters, so you can use two CRTs if you want to :-)

In terms of the CRT you are looking at, I don't understand why one
reviewer is noticing jitter in the displayed image.

Thanks, I am glad to learn this. It certainly isn't mentioned in the
skimpy online pdf manual. As far as the monitor is concerned I hope I
don't see the jitter.

Another thought occurs to me. These analog monitors must also have a
digital communication channel? How else could the OS identify the
monitor?

They do indeed.

Indeed, but is only used to communicate the monitor specs, it isnt used
for the display of the visual image except indirectly by using the specs
